1957 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible - this is a special project that is merging the best of three worlds. A clean 57 Four door car, a lost to rust and decayed 57 Ford Convertible, and a 2002 Mercury Grand Marquis chassis. The project will progress to completion of a 1957 Ford Convertible visibly correct in every way, but:
- sitting upon a narrowed and lengthened 2002 Grand Marquis chassis
- 4.6L SOHC 16 valve engine (2004 4.6L - 239hp SAE)
- AODE transmission
- Lincoln watts linkage rear suspension
- Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)
- Traction control
- power 4 wheel disc brakes
- Speed Variable Power Steering
- cruise control
- AC-heat-defrost
- Passive Anti-theft protection (PATS)
- The car will have correct and functioning emissions
- This will be a drive anywhere good looking 57 Ford Convertible
- It will be serviced as a 2002-2004 Grand Marquis in the future. (Mechanical, electrical, chassis, brakes, suspension)
