GENERAL - Specialty Auto-sports, Inc. is a  state of Tennessee subchapter S corporation, and a state-licensed manufacturer of automobiles. Our primary trade is the professional turnkey assembly of custom, exotic, replica, and street rod automobiles, as well as, selected classic car restorations.

CHRONOLOGY - The company was formalized in January 2006, and incorporated in September 2006. For the 27 year period before its formalization, the company principals were actively involved with professional automobile design and assembly, amateur restorations, and street rods.

  • Served as Body Engineering Office Design Engineer at Ford Motor Company - 1971-1973.

  • Fifteen years practice as Mechanical Systems Engineer and Mechanical Engineering Manager for the nuclear power industry.

  • Secretary-Treasurer since 2006.

  • Managed Specialty Autoworks, Inc. retail auto parts store for three years.

  • Currently manages seasonal show scheduling, public relations, inventory control, stock and material purchases, counter and telephone sales, accounting, correspondence, and payroll.

EXPANSION - Specialty Auto-sports, Inc. occupies a specially constructed facility, which includes a 5400SF dedicated automobile assembly shop with a 2 car showroom and formal consultation offices.  We also have options on an additional 1.5 acres in our industrial park for future expansion.

CAPABILITY - concurrent work on twelve automobiles, with light machining, welding, and sheet metal fabrication, as well as custom upholstery.  All sales, design, mechanical and electrical fabrication, bodywork, and upholstery is done in one facility.

EMPLOYEES - Currently 5 full-time, 3 contracted resource vendors,   future as need demands.
